Big news from famous Reggae Jam Festival out of Germany: Reggae Jam goes to London this August for the first time.
From the Rivers of Bersenbrück (Germany) to the Heart and Soul of UK’s Reggae scene, one of the most popular reggae festivals in Europe is finally coming to London. Since 1994, the superstars of reggae have been doing the honours and filling the sacred walls of the monastery garden in the small northern German town with Caribbean “joie de vivre”.
For the first time in its 28-year history, Reggae Jam is celebrating its out-of-town premiere – and not just anywhere, but in the London borough of Brent, the nucleus of Jamaican vibes. Bob Marley lived in this multicultural melting pot in the 70s. From Brent, stars made in Britain like Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs or Gappy Ranks carried reggae from here into the worldwide panorama.
The Gege Vibes Team met Govana in London on the eve of his last UK Tour, which happened a few weeks ago, featuring new artist Skeng.
After the pandemic, finally huge festivals are scheduled again for summer 2022. Reggae Land Festival seems to be one of this summer UK’s biggest Reggae Festival. Everything is getting ready to offer an incredible weekend, full of the best live reggae, dub, and dancehall artists around the World. Save the dates: July 30th and and 31st
There will be three main stages: The Bowl, The Valley and an entire Carnival Float stage along with dancers and a live authentic steel pan band.
On August 28th 2021, was officially released the videoclip of “Nothing Like Love”, song by J Written. The track was pre-released on Reggaeville in July 2021 and has been gaining traction.
J Written is a young reggae Artist from Kingston, Jamaica. Written’s artistic nature and vibe heard and seen clearly throughout the entire video gives the audience an easy going feeling while successfully sending a message of love to the listener.
“Love is not just the opposite of hate, it is the original feeling when something is beautiful and everything is beautifully created by the Most High” – J-Written said when we asked about the meaning of the tune.
